Thirteen years after graduating from Lakeside, I had the chance to reconnect with my alma mater through its band director. He was eager to create a distinct brand for the band a unifying identity that students could rally behind and merchandise they’d be proud to wear in the halls.
This project offered me the opportunity to give back to a community that shaped me and to help build something meaningful for the next generation. I set out to design a clean, bold visual identity that would work seamlessly across a range of products.
The final design features a striking shield emblazoned with a panther’s profile, complemented by dynamic, bold typography. The typography and emblem were crafted to stand strong individually or work harmoniously together, creating a flexible yet cohesive brand for the Lakeside High School Band.
